(eap) This upcoming Wednesday, 25 March, Holland-Park, located in Panketal (Brandenburg) north of Berlin, will open its first family roller coaster. Named “Klompi”, the multi-launch coaster by ART Engineering is designed to deliver both excitement and accessibility with gentle curves, varied track elements and several acceleration sections. Over a track length of 245 meters, the trains complete two laps and reach speeds of up to 55 km/h. The ride features a height difference of around eleven meters and a maximum height of approximately nine meters. Each train accommodates up to 14 passengers, with children permitted to ride from a height of 90 centimeters.

“With our first family roller coaster, we are fulfilling a long-standing wish of many of our guests,” explains Rik Roelofs, Managing Director of Holland-Park. “Our aim is to create experiences that connect generations – and this new attraction embodies exactly that.”

In terms of design, the coaster integrates seamlessly into the park’s overall theme: the front car is styled like a traditional Dutch wooden shoe (“Klompen” in Dutch) – which also inspired the name “Klompi” – while the rear car is decorated with tulip motifs. A shop offering themed merchandise is directly connected to the station building. With this new addition, Holland-Park aims to further strengthen its position as a popular family destination in the Berlin metropolitan area. On 27 March, the large tulip market located within the garden center will take place once again. ■
