(eap) In the Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, located northwest of Chicago (USA), the opening of a new immersive entertainment offering called WONDRA is scheduled for September. The attraction is intended to combine nature, technology and storytelling into a multi-sensory journey. The experience concept was developed and implemented within one year by Merlin Magic Making, the creative division of Merlin Entertainments, and is being presented by the entertainment platform Fever.

Covering an area of more than 1,000 square meters, Wondra offers guests of all ages a journey through interactive environments inspired by natural phenomena. Among other things, visitors can stroll through “cloud landscapes”, make “enchanted meadows” glow with the sound of their voice, or explore hidden ecosystems through multi-sensory play.

“Wondra is rooted in the idea that people are drawn to nature and we all crave more of it in our lives,” explains Liz Cummings, Merlin Magic Making Creative Lead for New Products & Concepts. “In creating this world-first attraction in under a year, we were able to respond to the moment – tapping into current trends and what people are truly longing for, and making it come alive with creativity, innovation, and the signature Merlin magic that our guests expect.”

We’re thrilled to bring this unique experience to residents of Schaumburg and the greater Chicagoland area.”

The experience will be located on the ground floor of Woodfield Mall, right next to Peppa Pig World of Play. ■
