“Jurassic – The Immersive Experience” Now Open in Bristol
(eap) The digital exhibition “Jurassic – The Immersive Experience”, which premiered nearly two years ago at Immersium: Wien (opened in autumn 2023), has now arrived in Bristol, England, following previous stops in Malta and Stuttgart. This past weekend, the dinosaur-themed world, which utilizes multimedia technology to create compelling audiovisual experiences, opened at Planet Ice.
Visitors can immerse themselves in various sections of the exhibition, each offering insights into the world of dinosaurs. Designed for the whole family, the experience includes not only impressive visual projections but also interactive play and edutainment stations. Among these are systems such as “Playneo” and “Playoke” from Austrian company Attraktion!, which developed the entire exhibition concept. Additional media-based modules by the same provider are also featured – including a 5D motion ride, which is considered one of the highlights of the immersive experience (learn more about Jurassic – The Immersive Experience in our cover story on Immersium: Wien, published in EAP issue 1/2024).
The digital dinosaur exhibition will be open to visitors in Bristol throughout the upcoming summer months. At Immersium: Wien – where the dinosaurs moved out a few months ago – the new program “Planet of the Animals” is now running. This experience was developed in cooperation with Austrian public broadcaster ORF and its nature and environmental documentary series “Universum”. ■
