Adventure World Park Opens Pirate Ship Ride with Special Feature
(eap) The Australian Adventure World Park near Perth has reopened a popular classic for the current summer season, now enhanced by a new feature. With “Bounty’s Revenge II”, visitors can once again experience a “Pirate Ship” attraction supplied by the German manufacturer Huss Rides, following the closure of its predecessor, “Bounty’s Revenge”, which had been in operation for nearly 30 years before being retired in 2016.
The new version now surprises park guests with a “Flying Passage” designed to add an extra thrill factor: once the ship has swung up to its highest point – reached at a maximum angle of 75 degrees – it appears to transition into a phase of free flight. During this sequence, the ship glides smoothly through the station without mechanical guidance, driven solely by gravity and momentum. After several swinging motions, the mechanical drive kicks in again, powerfully lifting the ship back up to deliver additional moments of weightlessness.
The pirate ship ride offers a capacity of 50 guests per cycle. The attraction is approved for riders from a height of 1.10 meters when accompanied, or from 1.20 meters unaccompanied. ■
