(eap) The Aquasplash Antibes water park on the French Riviera, part of the Parques Reunidos group, concluded its season on 31 August with a record attendance result. Visitor numbers increased by 38 per cent compared to the previous year, marking the southern French water park’s best performance since 2018.

A way to cool off on hot summer days: Aquasplash Antibes also benefited from several heat waves this season. // Photo: Courtesy of Parques Reunidos The park largely attributes this success to the revitalization of its visitor offering carried out this year. This included, among other things, four new water slides as well as an expansion of the park grounds by 14,000 square meters. According to the park, favorable weather conditions, including several periods of high temperatures, also contributed to attracting numerous domestic and international guests to the leisure destination on the Côte d’Azur. The neighboring SoBlue Hôtel also benefitted from the strong demand, underlining the synergies between the water park and the accommodation facility.

Almost 200 seasonal employees support the Aquasplash Antibes team each year during the season. Around 30 of them work as lifeguards, ensuring safety of bathers throughout the summer months.

“Recording our best attendance since 2018 is a real source of pride and a great recognition of the work carried out by all our teams. This season also confirms that renewing the offering at Aquasplash is the right approach to further enhance the visitor experience. These results provide us with a solid foundation to continue this positive development and further evolve the Aquasplash experience in 2027,” explains Damien Montay, General Manager of Aquasplash Antibes. ■
