(eap) The LEGO® art exhibition “Art of the Brick” can be seen in London this spring. Until May 19, visitors can admire the Lego works of artist Nathan Sawaya at “The Boiler House” on Brick Lane in East London. Sawaya presents over 100 Lego figures made from millions of Lego bricks in his exhibition, including newly designed versions of some of the world’s most famous works of art, such as Michelangelo’s “David”, Van Gogh’s “Gogh’s Starry Night” and Da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa”, as well as imaginative original works such as a six-meter-long Tyrannosaurus skeleton. There is also a play and build area where young and old can give free rein to their own creativity.

The exhibition has already been shown in over 100 cities in 24 countries on six continents – Sawayas’ works were last exhibited in London nearly ten years ago. In addition to London, Art of the Brick can currently be visited in Miami, Paris and, from April, in Melbourne, Australia. The exhibition is presented by Exhibiton Hub in collaboration with Fever.

“London holds a special place in my heart and I’m very excited to be bringing the Art of the Brick back to Brick Lane after almost 10 years. I was touched by how many people connected with my art in 2014 and I hope to rekindle the magic I felt here 10 years ago and share the art with a city that never ceases to amaze me,” tells Sawaya.

“With The Art of The Brick, the only exhibition of its kind in the world to showcase the art of Nathan Sawaya, we are particularly pleased to be able to offer visitors of all ages the chance to discover the art of Lego sculpture in a way they never did before!” says Gilles Colinet, Marketing Director at Exhibition Hub. ■
