Australia/UAE: Construction Works for New “Actventure“ Lifestyle Resort to Start by the End of 2018

Das beratende Gremium von Actventure traf sich kürzlich in Dubai, um weitere Standorte für das Lifestyle-Resort zu diskutieren.

A new integrated lifestyle resort – named Actventure – is currently under development on Australia’s Sunshine Coast, combining an extensive range of sports activities, a water park and theme park as well as a hotel with conference rooms, and various retail and gastronomic offerings (c.f. EAP news from November 10th, 2016). The project, which runs at a total investment volume of some 300 million EUR (450 million AUD), is being developed by Sanad Capital, a company of the Arab Najibi Group. The first phase, for which construction works are scheduled to begin by the end of this year, will include the associated water park, fully equipped with attractions from Canadian slide manufacturer WhiteWater, the “Actventure Tower” functional centre and shops. Its development costs are estimated at just under 100 million EUR (150 million AUD), with a visitor capacity of up to one million guests per year after its opening.

The Actventure’s advisory board – formed by Joe Zenas (CEO of Thinkwell Group), Fredrik Jonsson (Founder & Managing Partner of the Middle East Real Estate Hospitality Advisors company) and Geoff Chutter (President & CEO of WhiteWater) – has recently convened in Dubai to discuss potential investors and partners to develop a similar resort venue in the UAE. Further interesting markets for the new concept include Asia, Europe and the USA. (eap)
