BBC Studios & Moonraker Launch Collaboration for Immersive Experiences

(eap) BBC Studios Science Unit, an award-winning division specializing in science and technology-related formats, and Moonraker VFX, a Bristol-based specialist in media installations and visual effects, have announced a strategic creative partnership to develop and produce new immersive content for the growing global location-based entertainment (LBE) market. The aim of the collaboration is to jointly implement several immersive projects that combine scientific content with cinematic staging and appeal to a broad audience. According to the announcement, by 2030, the global LBE market is expected to exceed a volume of 30 billion US dollars, which adds further significance to the recently concluded partnership between the two companies.

BBC Studios Science Unit and Moonraker VFX have already worked together in the past on TV productions such as Earth and Evolution. Both companies will be attending IAAPA Expo in Orlando next week. ■
