(eap) The City of Dallas (Texas, USA) is planning a comprehensive modernization of its Bahama Beach Waterpark for spring 2026. As part of the project, the existing water play area “Coconut Cove” will be redesigned. The current play structure is set to be replaced with a new 16-deck “Elevations™” play structure from Canadian manufacturer Vortex. A portion of the funding will be provided through a government grant.

The project is being carried out in cooperation with Kraftsman Commercial Playgrounds & Waterparks, a partner of Vortex. The new multi-level play structure will feature a variety of interactive water play elements and several slides – including three closed flume slides, one open flume slide, as well as a kiddie racer. Thematically, the installation will reflect the park’s tropical beach motif and incorporate the existing Bahama Beach characters. The opening is scheduled for summer 2026. ■
