Waldameer Water World Announces Water Park Expansion for 2026
(eap) The US amusement park Waldameer Park & Water World in Erie, Pennsylvania, is planning an extensive expansion of its water park for the 2026 season: two new large water slides from manufacturer ProSlide and an new Endless River are to replace several existing attractions in the northern part of the park.
Specifically, the construction of a MAMMOTH® slide is planned, which will offer an experience for up to five people with a combination of twisting turns and a mix of enclosed and open slide sections. The offer is complemented by a TornadoWAVE® 60, which begins with a semi-translucent spiral and then leads into a steep, wave-shaped wall that provides a moment of weightlessness. Compared to the previous flow channel, the new Endless River will have a more modern design, and eight interactive water features.
As part of the redevelopment, several current attractions will be retired. “Lake Erie Dip”, “Presque Isle Plunge”, and the existing “Endless River” will remain operational until August 17, 2025. “Raging River”, “Wild River”, and the “Heated Relaxing Pool” are scheduled to close by September 1, 2025.
According to the park, more slides will be added to the new tower in future, including a dueling slide designed for head-to-head racing experiences. ■
