(eap) The Belgian technology company Barco, which specializes in projection systems, is set to acquire one hundred percent of the shares in the French-British VerVent Audio Holding – a corresponding agreement for the full acquisition of the company’s shares was reached in March.

The agreement “marks an important step in Barco’s ambition to shape the future of immersive audiovisual experiences. By welcoming VerVent and its iconic Focal and Naim brands into the Barco family, we accelerate our strategy to deliver fully integrated solutions where image and sound reinforce each other seamlessly. […] We go all-in on entertainment […],” said An Steegen, CEO of Barco.

The acquisition of VerVent is expected to support Barco’s evolution towards becoming a provider of integrated audiovisual solutions for both private and professional customers. The enterprise value of the transaction amounts to approximately 135 million euros, and it is planned to be financed with Barco’s own funds. The completion of the transaction remains subject to applicable legal requirements as well as customary closing conditions. ■
