Brad Gilmour Named New President of SeaWorld Orlando
(eap) Brad Gilmour (photo), who has served as President of Discovery Cove and Aquatica in Orlando since 2023, is now also taking over the role of President of SeaWorld Orlando, meaning that he will oversee all three Orlando parks operated by United Parks & Resorts. He succeeds Jon Peterson. Gilmour has 23 years of experience with the company, having started his career at Discovery Cove in 2003. Since then, he has held several leadership positions.
“Brad has consistently demonstrated the kind of leadership that puts our guests and our ambassadors first,” said Kyle Miller, Co-Chief Operating Officer, United Parks & Resorts. “His deep operational knowledge, combined with his proven track record across our Orlando parks, makes him exactly the right leader to guide our parks into their next chapter. I'm confident our teams will benefit greatly from his leadership.”
Since this spring, visitors to SeaWorld Orlando have been able to experience an updated Arctic adventure in the Flying Theater attraction “Expedition Odyssey: Fire & Ice,” which opened in 2025 (see EAP News of 22 May 2026). ■
