Cirque du Soleil Celebrates 30 Years of Acrobatic Performances in Las Vegas

"O" by Cirque du Soleil at Bellagio Resort & Casino Celebrates 25 Years in October.

In December 1993, the first permanent Cirque du Soleil show, “Mystère”, celebrated its premiere in Las Vegas. Since then, the famous show has been performed more than 13,000 times at the Treasure Island Hotel & Casino. However, it‘s not just this show which is celebrating a special anniversary this year, but also the shows “O” and “Michael Jackson One”.

The former has been performed at Bellagio Resort & Casino for 25 years now and has since impressed the audience more than 11,000 times with the acrobatic arts of the performers above, in and below the water. Inspired by the “King of Pop“, the show “Michael Jackson ONE” was created in 2013, presenting a mix of acrobatics and dance to the audience. To celebrate these three anniversaries, Cirque du Soleil is giving away an exclusive VIP experience for two that includes a stay at a luxury hotel, limousine rides and exclusive backstage access to all six Las Vegas Cirque du Soleil shows.

“These three remarkable shows illustrate the creative diversity and staying power that has transcended through Cirque du Soleil since the company began,” said Eric Grilly, President, Resident Shows Division and Affiliate Shows Division at Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group. “Each of these productions remain as vibrant, inspiring and popular as they did when they debuted, and that is a true testament both to the creators and the cast and crew who continue to dazzle audiences from around the world each night.” (eap)
