(eap) Disneyland Paris has announced a major refurbishment of its “Indiana Jones™ and the Temple of Peril” roller coaster at Disneyland® Park. Starting January 4, 2027, the attraction will close for several months to undergo its most extensive refurbishment since opening in 1993. Teams from Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, Design & Delivery and Maintenance will combine their expertise to preserve the popular roller coaster and its elaborately themed environment for the future.
A key focus of the refurbishment will be the stonework of the iconic temple structure that defines the attraction’s appearance. Parts of the structure will be completely rebuilt. In addition, extensive maintenance work is planned on the roller coaster’s supporting structures, particularly the tracks and maintenance walkways. Numerous decorative elements throughout the attraction and queue area will also be restored. This includes the wooden walkways, which will be completely rebuilt, as well as the campsite scenery and the well-known 4x4 vehicle.
The area surrounding Indiana Jones™ and the Temple of Peril in “Adventureland®” will also be upgraded as part of the refurbishment. Planned improvements include modernising the attraction’s themed lighting with new spotlights and lighting effects, as well as refurbishing the “Indiana Jones™ Adventure Outpost” shop and the surrounding areas.
With these measures, Disneyland Paris aims to preserve the attraction’s iconic sense of adventure for years to come while also improving comfort for guests and Cast Members. ■
