(eap) Following continuous expansions in its attractions line-up, the Danish Djurs Sommerland theme park is now pursuing the strategy of extending its offer to include accommodation options in the future. Most recently, the park had expanded its “Mexicoland” with the the adventure path “Camino del Sol” (see EAP 3/2025) and the drop tower “El Grito” (see EAP 4/2024). With the planned “Djurs Sommerland Holiday Resort”, an accommodation offer is also to be created, which is scheduled to welcome its first guests in 2028. For the development of the resort, Søren Sandberg has been appointed as project manager. He brings more than 15 years of experience in the tourism industry and was most recently managing director of Landal GreenParks Denmark.

“With the Holiday Resort we are taking an important step in our long-term development strategy. Our goal is to create a unique overnight experience that builds on the special moments at Djurs Sommerland – and makes us an even stronger destination for holiday and family experiences in Denmark,” announced Henrik B. Nielsen, CEO of Djurs Sommerland. ■
