(eap) On July 27, 2015, Dollywood Parks & Resorts opened its first hotel property in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee: the DreamMore Resort & Spa. According to the company, the resort was designed to extend the Dollywood experience beyond the theme park visit and offer guests a continuous leisure stay in close proximity to the park.

Kevin Osborn, who served as general manager of DreamMore Resort at its opening and now oversees Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort, recalls: “There was such excitement and anticipation around the opening of DreamMore Resort. The resort allows guests to continue that special Dollywood experience after the park closes for the night and for the season. It was, and continues to be, a big responsibility but one that our hosts do with such care and enthusiasm.”

Located on a roughly 20-acre site, the resort features various dining options, a full-service spa, a pool complex, and family activity programs. In 2022, the venue added the “Dolly’s Suite 1986 Tour Bus Experience,” which offers overnight stays in the artist’s original tour bus reportedly used between 2008 and 2022. Net proceeds from bookings are donated to the Dollywood Foundation.

The anniversary coincides with other milestones for the operator: Dollywood is celebrating its 40th season this year, while Dollywood’s Splash Country water park marks its 25th anniversary (cf. EAP News 7th July 2025). ■
