Dubai/UAE: Groundbreaking for Dubai’s New Record-Breaking Skyscraper „The Tower“

Dubai Creek Harbour – Dubai’s emerging city district, which will provide new offices, living space and leisure offers on a total area of six square kilometers – recently saw the groundbreaking for the city’s new record-breaking skyscraper “The Tower”, which is expected to surpass the 828-meter high Burj Khalifa as the world’s highest building.

The Tower is scheduled to open in 2020 in due time for Expo 2020. On several observation desks visitors can enjoy a 360° view on the Arab metropolis and beyond – furthermore, there will be VIP observation garden decks. Its proximity to the Ras Al Khor National Wildlife Sanctuary as well as dynamic light effects that will put the tower in limelight by day and night will convert The Tower into a new attraction for tourists.

The building, which is being developed in a strategic partnership between Emaar Properties and Dubai Holding, is part of the Dubai Plan 2021 aiming at establishing the city as a global business and leisure hub. (eap)
