Efteling Post Office Opens: Send a Winter Greeting!
(eap) Since 1 December 2025, the newly opened “Efteling Postkantoor” in the Dutch World of Wonders has been welcoming its guests – located directly next to the “De Smulpaap” restaurant on the nostalgic “Anton Pieckplein” square. On weekends and during school holidays between 12:00 and 18:00, visitors can write and send a postcard free of charge – whether to someone close to them or to an unknown recipient via a charity organization.
Here’s how it works: Visitors receive a postcard from the postman on site and can write their personal greetings on it. Those who wish can use special mailboxes to send greetings to people who could use a little extra warmth and attention – for example through the social initiatives Nationaal Ouderenfonds and Oranje Fonds. After writing, the cards are placed in the appropriate box, and the park takes care of the postage. According to Efteling, the post office is expected to remain open even after the holidays, until at least 1 March.
In cooperation with the postal company PostNL, the traditional December stamps have also been designed this year with fairytale motifs from Efteling: in the style of nine well-known stories from the Fairytale Forest – from Little Red Riding Hood to Tom Thumb – as well as a special fairytale created specifically for PostNL. ■
