Efteling Reveals New Details about “The Fairytale Library”

(eap) “The Fairytale Library”, the new 32nd fairytale in the Efteling theme park, often also referred to as the “World of Wonders”, is increasingly taking shape. In the Fairytale Forest, near the former “The Chinese Nightingale” scene, work is progressing rapidly, with the framework of the nine-metre-high building growing step by step. The Dutch theme park has now revealed further details about what will take place inside the Fairytale Library from 2027.
“In The Fairytale Library, visitors will soon discover all the books filled with stories that the Fairytale Collector has gathered during his travels. They will also meet seven hard-working gnomes, who have accompanied the Fairytale Gatherer from all corners of the world over the years. The gnomes keep the library organised, welcoming and as complete as possible, because the Fairytale Collector himself is often away on his travels,” explains Designer Jeroen Verheij.

The seven dwarfs in the Fairytale Library will include the silence gnome, who has a special responsibility. With equal measures of passion and discipline, he will ensure that one of the most important rules of every library is observed: maintaining a pleasant silence so that everyone can become absorbed in their reading. Amid all the books and stories, he will make sure that guests can immerse themselves in the world of fairytales without being disturbed.
Efteling also recently announced the construction of a new major attraction for 2029, which will be the park’s first suspended launch coaster. In addition, a new ride named “Ravenring” is scheduled to open in the “Raveleijn” themed area this winter. ■
