Episodia Theme Park Gliwice on Track for Planned Opening
(eap) The Episodia Theme Park Gliwice is continuing to take shape: On Tuesday, developer and operator Momentum Leisure welcomed journalists, representatives of the local administration and companies involved in the construction project to the site, offering them an insight into the progress being made on Momentum Leisure’s fourth theme park in Poland. Around nine months after construction began, the EUR 50 million project remains on schedule for its planned opening in 2027. The theme park is being developed next to the recently refurbished Europa Centralna retail park in Gliwice and will be the first new theme park in Poland to open under Momentum Leisure’s Episodia brand.
“Gliwice is our fourth park in Poland, but Episodia also marks the beginning of a new chapter for us. We are building on everything we have learned from our parks in Poland while introducing new stories, characters and experiences for a new generation of families. Seeing the project at this stage, together with our partners, local authorities and the media, makes the future of Episodia feel very real, ” explained Wouter Dekkers, CEO of Momentum Leisure.

As structural works progress, Episodia Gliwice is now moving into the next stage of development. Over the coming months, the focus will increasingly shift towards attraction installation, technical systems, façades, landscaping, theming and interior fit-out. The theme park is being developed in close cooperation with CFE as general contractor, as well as a broad network of Polish and Romanian companies and specialist subcontractors. At peak periods, around 150 people have been working on the construction site.
“The progress achieved to date is the result of close cooperation between Momentum Leisure, CFE and the many Polish companies involved in the project” said Małgorzata Boroń-Sinkovic, CO CEO of CFE Poland. “We are proud that Polish teams and local expertise play such an important role in bringing this ambitious project to life and helping create a new destination for Gliwice and the wider region.”

Once open, the leisure destination is expected to employ around 200 people across park operations, technical services, maintenance, entertainment, food and beverage and management. “Today’s visit shows how quickly this investment is taking real shape. I am glad that a place is being built in Gliwice that will expand the offer of leisure time for residents, and at the same time attract guests from all over the region and beyond to our city. We also hope that the presence of the park will create new opportunities for local entrepreneurs and will be another impulse for the development of this part of Gliwice,” said Katarzyna Kuczyńska-Budka, President of the City of Gliwice.
The Episodia Theme Park Gliwice will be aimed at families with children aged approximately three to 15 and will combine internationally recognised brands with original storytelling. The first phase will feature themed areas inspired by well-known franchises including “SpongeBob SquarePants”, “PAW Patrol®”, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and “The Smurfs”. The planned offering will include family rides, themed restaurants, playgrounds, entertainment experiences and meet-and-greet opportunities. ■
