(eap) The offering of the Europa-Park Resort continues to grow steadily – and with it, the number of employees. For them, the foundation stone for a new staff restaurant with work and break facilities was laid last Wednesday. The future building is planned to cover an area of 4,500 square meters spread over four floors and is intended to offer both culinary variety and comfortable working and recreation areas for employees.
On the ground floor, a modern production kitchen is to be built, which will in future serve as the central kitchen for the entire Europa-Park. Around 1,800 meals per day are expected to be prepared and served there. According to Europa-Park, the new staff restaurant will offer a total of 560 seats and is set to open in August 2026. For all employees who place value on healthy nutrition, the culinary offering is to be expanded by a “FeelGood counter”, where fresh and particularly healthy dishes will be available – a concept developed in cooperation with the “FeelGood Health Centre”, founded by Miriam Mack. In addition to the gastronomic facilities, employees will receive 1,500 new lockers for personal storage as well as a modern shower area designed to meet the requirements of a contemporary working environment.
Ann-Kathrin Mack, Managing Partner, emphasizes: “We are a company in which people from over 100 nations work together today. To ensure that everyone feels comfortable, reliable infrastructure is essential. Projects like this stand for something that is deeply rooted in our values as family entrepreneurs. We invest with full conviction in the future of our employees because they are an essential building block of our success.”
“With this striking new building, we are creating not only a special place for daily catering, but also a space that strengthens collaborative working, encounters and well-being. What may at first glance appear to be ‚just‘ a canteen, production kitchen and changing rooms is in truth much more. This building will be the backbone of our daily work,” says Charles Botta, Director of MACK Solutions. ■
