Extraordinary Success for Webcomic Inspired by Rollercoaster Attraction

The first “wing coaster” worldwide that opened at Gardaland, Italy in April 2011 (we reported on this in EAP 3/2011) obviously delighted the comic artist Fabrizio de Fabritiis so much that he created the first online comic inspired by this amusement park attraction. “Raptor”, supplied by B&M, has a track length of 770 meters and its seats are located to each side of the track creating a very exciting ride feeling. The first episode of the online comic was published this past May. In the meantime, the fifth and last version of “Raptor Genetix” went online last month on the website of www.gardalandraptor.it/fumetto/. Over 16,000 users followed the webcomic showing the adventures of the courageous Coloniel Raymond Schwartz and his encounters with Raptor. The bilingual comic (Italian and English) is also available on iPhone and iPad. Nice marketing effect! (eap)
