FORT FUN: New VR Attraction and Family Playground

(eap) On 28 March, FORT FUN Abenteuerland near Bestwig in Germany’s Sauerland region will start its season. Visitors can again look forward to new experiences this year: The park is expanding its offering with “FORT VentuRe”, a YULLBE Go VR attraction, as well as with a new family playground featuring the duck water attraction “Los PATOS Rapidos”.
The virtual reality experience “FORT VentuRe” by YULLBE (developed by MACK One and VR Coaster) will be located in the park’s “Western Saloon” gastronomy & event location. From the start of the season, guests will be able to immerse themselves in virtual worlds using VR headsets, motion tracking and hand controllers. The offer is aimed at visitors aged eight and above and adds another weather-independent attraction to the park’s portfolio. Other YULLBE Go locations already exist, among others, at Europa-Park Resort, at Miniatur Wunderland Hamburg and at Freizeit-Land Geiselwind.
“With FORT VentuRe, we are further expanding our indoor offerings following the successful launch of the FORT FUN L.A.B.S. – with an indoor experience at the highest technical level,” explains Managing Director Andreas Sievering. “This offer not only strengthens our weather independence, but at the same time provides new opportunities for events, knowledge formats and leisure activities in the Sauerland region.”

In addition, a family playground completely developed in-house is scheduled to open this in spring, directly next to the renovated restaurant “La Cascada”. The centrepiece of the area will be the duck-themed attraction Los PATOS Rapidos, inspired by the large rapid river attraction “Los Rapidos”. Here, children will be able to play with toy ducks on a small water course. Meanwhile, the modernised restaurant with its new interior spaces and a covered outdoor area invites guests to linger within sight of the play area.

The combination of gastronomy, safe play opportunities and a quieter atmosphere perfectly matches our ambition to design the FORT FUN experience for all generations,” says Sievering. ■
