First Universal Kids Resort in Texas Now Officially Open
The Universal Kids Resort celebrated its grand opening with a special appearance by Laila Lockhart Kraner, star of “Gabby’s Dollhouse”, a dance-filled processional featuring hundreds of local kids alongside fan-favorite characters, and a colorful ribbon cutting with an oversized pair of children’s scissors.

(eap) The Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas, was officially opened yesterday. The first Universal theme park designed specifically for the youngest guests is aimed in particular at children aged three to eight and their families. It features various rides and play offerings across seven themed areas based on well-known brands and character worlds such as “Gabby’s Dollhouse”, “Shrek”, “Trolls”, “Puss in Boots”, “Minions”, “SpongeBob SquarePants” and “Jurassic World”. The adjacent 300-room Universal Kids Resort Hotel provides suitable accommodation for a multi-day stay.

“Today’s an exciting day for all kidkind as we officially open Universal Kids Resort,” said Page Thompson, President, New Ventures, Universal Destinations & Experiences. “Every aspect of this park was designed with kids in mind, and it’s amazing to see the smiles on their faces as they enjoy all that Universal Kids Resort has to offer.”
