(eap) In spring 2026, a new brand experience for families with children is set to open at the Wilma Shoppen shopping center (formerly Wilmersdorfer Arcaden) in Berlin: plans are underway to create the first indoor family entertainment center under the name ZAFARI ADVENTURE, based on the globally distributed children’s animation series “ZAFARI”. The new indoor facility will be operated by Branded Leisure Xperiences GmbH (BLX), a joint venture between Playland (operator of indoor leisure facilities in Turkey) and Dutch ip2 Group (exclusive partner and designer of the FEC). With the shopping mall in Berlin’s Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district, the project partners have secured a central, easy-to-reach location for all, says Faruk Tas, Managing Director at BLX.

Covering an area of around 1,100 square meters, children aged three to eight will be able to immerse themselves in an interactive world that recreates the colorful jungle landscape and main characters of the series. The focus is on “Zoomba”, a young elephant born with zebra stripes who embarks on an adventure with his friends at the foot of Kilimanjaro. According to Roger Houben, CEO of iP2 Group, the aim of the concept is not only to entertain children, but also to offer them a place where they can discover the world and develop themselves and their strengths – in line with the series’ message that diversity and individuality are something positive.

The main attractions of the indoor park will include a large interactive play area with a multi-activity obstacle course and interactive play structure, the interactive bumper car attraction “Storm Spinners”, and two media-based play attractions. The main supplier of the attractions will be SPI Global. A branded café, birthday rooms, and a merchandise shop will round out the offerings. With a focus on sustainability, sustainable and recycled materials are intended be used in the construction and furnishing of the new indoor park. The merchandise items offered in the shop are also said to be manufactured in accordance with environmental standards. The FEC project in Berlin is estimated to involve an investment volume of around two million euros. ■
