As Timbalaya Ltd recently announced, the newly launched family entertainment IP (cf. EAP News from November 16, 2015) has expanded its team: Steven Rhys, co-founder and Executive Vice President of the Canada-based design and planning company Forrec, has joined Bob Marsterson, former President of Ripley Entertainment, on the Timbalaya Board as a Non-Executive Director.

During his 30-year career at Forrec, Rhys has gained broad experience in the development of visitor attractions and was involved in numerous projects all over the world, e.g. for Center Parcs and Universal Studios. “Steve is one of those people who you hope to work with in the course of your career. His contribution to the design of visitor attractions and entertainment around the world is extraordinary, so to welcome him to the Timbalaya board is exciting beyond words,” says Rosalind Johnson, co-founder of Timbalaya. Rhys seems to be convinced of the Timbalaya concept: “There is a real place for this family experience in the outdoor entertainment market where operators are looking to differentiate themselves with a concept that rises above the everyday,” he says.
