France: Changes in Governance of Compagnie des Alpes – Dominique Marcel Resigns as Chairman of the Board

Dominique Marcel

Effective today, Dominique Marcel (67) has prematurely resigned from his position as a member and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Compagnie des Alpes (CdA) at his own request. The decision was taken in the context of his retirement and a post-pandemic realignment of the company’s management. Marcel had held this position since 2009, in addition to his role as CEO of the company until 2021 (new CEO since June 2021 is Dominique Thillaud). The CdA Board of Directors would like to thank Marcel for his commitment and for the role he has played in the economic development and improvement of the company.

Dominique Marcel has been succeeded by Gisèle Rossat-Mignod (52), who has assumed the role of Chairman of the Board as of today. Rossat-Mignod is currently Director of the Banque des Territoires network at Caisse des Dépôts. The state-owned financial institution Caisse des Dépôts is the main shareholder of CdA. Previously, Rossat-Mignod held management positions within the Aéroport de Paris group and was also a sub-prefect of the prefectures of Isère, the Île-de-France and Nord-Pas-de-Calais regions. Gisèle Rossat-Mignod will continue her duties as Director of the Banque des Territoires network. As a result of this appointment, the Board intends to replace the position of Vice Chairman at its next General Meeting with that of a Lead Director, to be selected from among independent Directors.
