Germany: Holiday Park Welcomes 2.5 Millionth Visitor

Haßlochs Bürgermeister Lothar Lorch, Holiday Park-Parkmanager Bernd Beitz und Familie Getting freuen Sich gemeinsam mit Maja, Wickie, Heidi und Tabaluga.

This past Thursday, Holiday Park, located in Haßloch, Germany has welcomed its 2.5 millionth visitor since the park was taken over by the Belgian Plopsa Group in 2010. The Getting family was surprised when they were welcomed by Holiday Park’s CEO Bernd Beitz, Haßloch’s mayor Lothar Lorch and several popular TV characters like Maya the Bee, Vicky the Viking, Tabaluga and Heidi. The latter made her park entry just a few days ago. The park manager’s present for the family was a “Plopa GoldCard” while Mayor Lorch handed over a gift set in the name of the community of Haßloch. Everyone together then dared a ride on the new attraction “Sky Fly”. The park invested a total volume of two million Euros in the ride, which opened at the beginning of July (cf. EAP News, July 6, 2015). In recent years Holiday Park made several greater investments which have led to a growth of visitor numbers of 50 per cent since 2010. “We are proud of counting the 2.5 millionth visitor after four and a half seasons as part of Plopsa Group. It shows us that our offer is equally attractive for young families as well as demanding roller coaster fans,” Beitz comments. (eap)
