Germany’s Maya mare Water Park Gets New Slides
(eap) Construction work has begun on a new slide world at the Maya mare adventure pool in Halle (Saale), Germany. The previous water slides, which have delighted numerous bathers over the years, are being replaced by modern slides. “The old slides have delighted many generations of guests. Now we are looking forward to setting new standards with innovative technology and a fresh, creative concept,” emphasizes Melanie Heinrichs, Commercial Director of Maya mare.
The new slides will be supplied by Aquarena and will feature heat insulation, efficient technology and sustainable construction. The highlight will be a tube slide called “Kukulkan”, named after the feathered snake deity of the Maya, which will have a mystical design. The offer will be complemented by a 118-metre-long body slide, a turbo slide with a gradient of over 16 percent and a two-lane competition slide for duelling slide fun. The water slides will also be equipped with light and sound effects.
During the construction phase of the attractions, the rest of the water park with wave pool, flow channel, VR snorkelling, children’s area and sauna area will remain open to guests. ■
