Grand Opening of the “World of Frozen” at Disneyland Paris

Grand Opening of the “World of Frozen” at Disneyland Paris

(eap) A significant milestone in the history of Disneyland Paris was reached yesterday: With the ceremonial opening of the new themed world “World of Frozen”, the former Walt Disney Studios Park also presents itself in a new guise – and will henceforth bear the name Disney Adventure World. In the course of this comprehensive transformation, the area of the second park has been nearly doubled.

“With Disney Adventure World, we are not only opening a newly reimagined second park at Disneyland Paris – we are opening the door to a new era. An era in which our guests can immerse themselves directly in the hearts of the stories they love,” highlights Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris.

Josh D’Amaro, Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company, also emphasizes the significance of the expansion: “Few stories have touched fans around the world as much as Frozen. From the screen to our parks and cruises and far beyond, the impact of this story continues to grow. And with World of Frozen and Disney Adventure World, we are giving our guests at Disneyland Paris the opportunity to experience this story in a completely new way.”

For the first time in Europe, visitors can now enter the “Kingdom of Arendelle”, celebrate the “Sunflower Festival” together, and meet the popular characters “Anna” and “Elsa” in person at Arendelle Castle. With “Frozen Ever After”, a new ride also awaits visitors, allowing them to immerse themselves in the stories of Elsa, Anna, and their companions with the help of modern animatronics.

At the center of the transformation is also the “Adventure Way”, a new main avenue with entertainment offerings, the new family attraction “Raiponce Tangled Spin”, inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios film “Tangled”, a central lake named “Adventure Bay”, on which the evening show “Disney Cascade of Lights” takes place, as well as a variety of new dining offerings.

Next, Adventure Way is to be expanded with a chain carousel inspired by the Pixar film “Up” and, at a later point in time, with the world’s first “The Lion King” themed area (cf. EAP News dated 12.8.24). More about the new chapter at Disneyland Paris can be found in our next EAP issue no. 3/2026 (to be published on May 4th).
