“Disney Believe” Announced as Next Disney Cruise Line Ship

(eap) New details about the next Disney Cruise Line ship, including its name and design theme, were presented at the 2026 Annual Shareholders Meeting by Josh D’Amaro, the new CEO of The Walt Disney Company. “We continue to expand our award-winning Disney Cruise Line fleet. […] We have five more ships on the way, and today I’m excited to announce the name of our ninth ship, the Disney Believe.”

The “Disney Believe” will be the fourth installment of Disney Cruise Line’s “Wish” class. Like its sister ships – the “Disney Wish”, the “Disney Treasure” and the “Disney Destiny” – it is also supposed to follow an independent thematic concept. At its core will be a narrative guiding idea centered around promise and possibilities. Inspired by Disney characters who believe in themselves and their dreams, the ship is set to incorporate themed worlds from “Encanto” and “Frozen”, the wishing well from “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”, as well as the depths of the sea with “Moana” and “The Little Mermaid”.

As part of its ongoing expansion, Disney Cruise Line plans to grow its fleet to a total of 13 ships by 2031. In addition to the Disney Believe, scheduled for late 2027, the introduction of a new class of ships has been announced for 2029. Furthermore, there is an agreement with Oriental Land Co. to also offer Disney cruise vacations in Japan starting in 2029. ■
