(eap) The US family resort operator Great Wolf Lodge recently announced details about its new indoor waterpark resort Great Wolf Lodge Texas Gulf Coast in Webster, Texas. The centrepiece of the resort will be an 92,000 square-foot (8,500-square-meter) water park featuring three pools, 13 slides and two interactive water play features in a new themed design. Inspired by the adventures of the “Great Wolf Pack” – the characters from a Great Wolf Entertainment video series available on YouTube – visitors will be able to discover various themed attractions.

These will include “Otter Cave Waterworks”, a multi-level kids water play structure with various play elements such as spray jets, slides and a tipping bucket. Among the larger slides will be a Great Wolf Lodge debut: “Texas Twirler”, a family raft slide where up to five people can sit in a raft and ride together through a cone-shaped tornado and a 360-degree loop. The companies involved in the construction of the water park are Neuman Pools and water attraction manufacturer ProSlide Technology. The approximately 200 million-dollar (around 185 million-euro) resort is due to open on October 18 this year. ■
