(eap) IAAPA Expo Asia 2025 officially kicked off at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC). The international trade fair for the leisure industry in the Asia-Pacific region takes place from June 30 to July 3, with the show floor open from today until July 3. With more than 350 exhibitors on an area of over 8,600 square meters and an extensive education program with over 20 formats, the event of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) offers a central platform for innovation and industry exchange.
Jack Chan, Executive Director and Vice President of IAAPA Asia Pacific, emphasized the importance of the venue: “After six years, we are proud to return to this powerhouse destination and incredible host city. Shanghai is a location where tradition and technology coexist beautifully, and IAAPA Expo Asia 2025 embraces this spirit by bringing together cultural expression, creative storytelling, and world-class innovation.“
IAAPA President and CEO Jakob Wahl emphasized the international relevance of the trade fair in his opening speech: “Shanghai sets the stage for meaningful dialogue and bold transformation. The energy felt here is a reflection of what's possible when the world comes together to share knowledge and innovative ideas. We look forward to seeing all the wonderful relationships forged in the week ahead.”
Parallel to the show floor, participants can expect numerous networking opportunities, EDUTours and specialist presentations on current topics in the leisure industry. As in the past, EAP magazine is present at the IAAPA international press stand. ■
