Industry Mourns Loss of Long-Standing Companion Thomas Hilger †

(eap) Thomas Hilger began his career at the Dorfner Group in Nuremberg, Germany, in May 1994 as a sales representative. A certified facility management specialist, he worked for the company for 32 years – most recently as Director of Sales & Marketing. Over the years, the Dorfner Group, which is recognized as a specialist in facility management & services, cleaning and catering, has also earned a strong reputation in the European spa and thermal bath industry thanks to its expertise.

In May, Thomas Hilger began his well-deserved retirement and a new chapter in his life. Tragically, only a short time later, he lost his life in a fatal accident. The industry, together with the European Waterpark Association (EWA), mourns the loss of a man who was highly valued as a pleasant and knowledgeable conversation partner, not least because of his calm and friendly manner. As a representative of Dorfner GmbH & Co. KG, Thomas Hilger had maintained close and friendly ties with the EWA for many years.

“Thomas Hilger was always receptive to the concerns of our association. We remember him with great gratitude. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends, as well as to his former colleagues, who miss him just as much as we do,” stated the EWA Board of Directors and Executive Management with deep sorrow. ■
