Jamberoo Action Park Acquires Raging Waters Sydney

Jamberoo Action Park, pictured here with its “Funnel Web” water slide, has acquired Raging Waters Sydney, which is being rebranded as Sydney Action Park.

(eap) The Australian water theme park Jamberoo Action Park and Eddy Group of Companies have announced the acquisition of Raging Waters Sydney. The water park, located in the suburb of Prospect in Greater Western Sydney, had been owned by the Spanish operator group Parques Reunidos since 2018. With the sale, the group is divesting its last remaining park outside Europe (more about Parques Reunidos’ European strategy can be found in our interview with COO Brad Loxley in EAP 1/2026). The water park originally opened in 2013 under the name Wet’n Wild Sydney by Village Roadshow Theme Parks.

Under the new ownership, the park is set to reopen later this year as Sydney Action Park following rebranding and modernization measures. In future, the city of Sydney, its iconic landscapes, lifestyle and history are to be incorporated into the park’s theming and storytelling. Investments in landscaping, theming and maintenance are planned.

The service offering is also to be further developed: “Great attractions bring guests through the gates, but great service is what brings them back. We want every interaction to be friendly, genuine and memorable. Our goal is for guests to feel genuinely cared for throughout their visit,” Jamberoo Action Park representatives said in a statement. In the coming years, the new operator also intends to invest in new rides, attractions and experiences in order to further enhance the park.

Management and staff from Jamberoo Action Park are expected to contribute their experience to the reposition of Sydney Action Park. The Jamberoo Action Park was founded by the Eddy family in 1980 and is located in the small town of Jamberoo, around one hour south of Sydney. ■
