Just Like in a Christmas Movie: Movie Park’s Hollywood Christmas

(eap) In addition to the Halloween season, which lasts several weeks, winter and Christmas business is also becoming an important revenue driver for more and more amusement parks in Europe. Parks are transformed into sparkling winter wonderlands, offering Christmas markets, festive entertainment shows, winter-themed worlds, and attractions. Movie Park Germany (part of the Parques Reunidos group) is once again inviting visitors to its Christmas event, “Movie Park’s Hollywood Christmas,” this year. From 28 November 2025 to 5 January 2026, guests can immerse themselves in the festive Christmas atmosphere at the Bottrop leisure and film park – just like in a Hollywood movie. Festive experiences and program updates are set to enrich the third edition of this year’s Christmas event.

“This year, we are once again treating our guests to a winter event that is not only bright and colorful, but above all entertaining. For this year, we have added festive elements and several new program items to further expand the event,” says Managing Director Thorsten Backhaus. “At ‘Movie Park’s Hollywood Christmas’, all generations can come together and immerse themselves in the world of American Christmas movies.”

© Movie Park Germany New to the program is “Movie Park’s Santa Experience – From Hollywood to the North Pole” in the “Time Riders” attraction building, which offers an interactive family experience centered around Santa Claus, including a personal meeting with Santa and his elves. Other highlights include the film “Scrooge 4D: A Christmas Carol”, which brings a timeless story to the big screen at the Roxy 4-D cinema, and the revamped winter illusion show “The Great Christmas Magic Show – by Christian Farla” in Studio 7. The “Hollywood Christmas Parade” will be expanded this year to include additional Christmas-decorated vehicles. On selected days, the gospel choir “Leslie B. Harmonies” will create a festive atmosphere in the park with its live performances accompanied by piano. In addition to several family-friendly attractions, some of the park’s roller coasters will also be open to the public on the Christmas event days, depending on weather conditions. ■
