(eap) In Loxstedt near Bremerhaven (northern Germany), the seventh Karls Erlebnis-Dorf was officially opened today. As part of a festive ceremony, Karls Managing Director Robert Dahl and the Mayor of Loxstedt, Detlef Wellbrock, symbolically cut the red ribbon. The opening was supported by the mascot “Karlchen” and music from the Loxstedt shanty choir.
As at the family company’s existing locations, the new park also features numerous leisure and gastronomy offers under the strawberry theme. In Loxstedt, special attention is paid to the new “PipiKakaLand” theme area, which is dedicated to the topic of toilets in a humorous and family-friendly way.
The area’s attractions include a large slide in toilet design, an interactive water playground called “Pipe Burst” and the “Lokus Pokus” throwing game, which requires accuracy in aiming for toilet bowls. The offer is complemented by the gastronomic concept “Ice in Pot”– soft ice cream, which is sold in an oversized toilet building. Visitors can also get an overview of the themed area from an integrated viewing platform.
With the opening of the new location, Karls is continuing the expansion of its “Erlebnis-Dorf” concept. Further projects are already being planned: new Erlebnis-Dörfer parks in Oberhausen, Bispingen and Plech as well as a Bibi and Tina theme park and a Karls water park in Elstal are due to open in the coming years. On June 1 of this year, the first “Karls-Bande Hotel” in Döbeln will also open its doors to overnight guests. ■
