He succeeds Kathrine Kirk Muff, who was appointed Head of the “Lego Location-based Experiences” division and now oversees the Lego House, the Lego Discovery Centres and the Legoland Discovery Centres following the acquisition of Merlin Entertainments.

At the Lego House, visitors can expect a wide variety of experiences. In the “Lego Masters Academy”, established last year, fans can, for example, learn new building techniques. Currently, interested visitors can choose between three different levels. Available to book are: “Splash into the Bricks – Level 1”, “Build Me Up – Level 2” and “aROUND the bricks we go – Level 3”. The Lego creations specially built during the sessions can then be taken home by guests afterwards.

With changing themes throughout the year, there’s always something new for guests to explore and a reason to revisit again,” explains Duun. The theme of “music” will remain in focus until 11 May. Live concerts, interactive installations as well as practical building activities on the subject provide the framework. The “Creative Lab” of the Red Zone in the LEGO House invites guests to take part in “From Bricks to Beats” – a collaborative building experience inspired by music.

At the same time as the launch of the music theme at the end of March, the family restaurant “Mini Chef” was reopened following a conceptual further development with a newly designed menu. The special feature of the restaurant: Guests can interactively put together their order themselves using Lego bricks. Each brick represents a specific ingredient. After scanning the selected combination, robotic arms pick up the prepared Lego boxes containing the food, which are then transported to the guests via a combined track and belt conveyor system. ■
