MSG & Sphere Appoint Allen Lo as New Chief Legal Officer
(eap) Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. (MSG Entertainment), which specialises in live entertainment, and Sphere Entertainment Co., a company focused on immersive experiences and technologies, have announced that the experienced lawyer Allen Lo will assume the positions of Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of both companies as of 30 March this year. Lo brings more than 30 years of experience in complex legal matters within the technology and media industry and most recently worked for the Meta group.
In his new role at MSG/Sphere Entertainment, Lo will serve as the Chief Legal Officer, overseeing all legal matters at both corporate and business levels and leading a high-performing team of lawyers from various disciplines. In addition, he will work closely with the respective leadership teams of the companies to help shape business strategy, negotiate and execute significant transactions, and manage corporate governance processes. Allen Lo will report to Jim Dolan, who serves as Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of both MSG Entertainment and Sphere Entertainment.

His professional expertise spans a broad range of matters, including consumer-facing offerings as well as complex transactions. At Meta, he served as Vice President, Legal and Deputy General Counsel. In this role, he was responsible for providing legal and regulatory counsel as well as overseeing global intellectual property matters across various business areas, including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Marketing, Music, and Reality Labs. Prior to joining Meta in 2017, Lo served as Deputy General Counsel for Patents and IP Litigation at Google, and before that as Vice President, Legal Affairs at Jupiter Networks. His in-depth experience also spans legal fields such as strategic partnerships, global litigation, and corporate governance. ■
