Malaysia: LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort Announces SEA LIFE Malaysia – Opening Scheduled for Late 2018

Back in 2012, Legoland Malaysia was opened as Asia’s first Legoland park; one year later, the park was transformed into a resort destination with the opening of a Legoland waterpark (cf. EAP news from November 8th, 2013) and a Legoland hotel (cf. EAP news from January 29th, 2014). Now, the Legoland Malaysia Resort has announced its third gate to open in late 2018: Sea Life Malaysia will cover a site of 2,123 square meters, featuring a total of 25 exhibition tanks to display eleven marine habitats.

Merlin’s new midway attraction will exclusively feature a dedicated area showcasing the Malaysian rainforest. The attraction will offer a unique learning experience especially for kids who can learn more about sea creatures such as seahorses, rays, sharks and jellies, in addition to animal healthcare and food preparation through a behind-the-scene tour. Also, guests to Sea Life Malaysia can discover LEGO® mini-figures and other sea creatures made of Lego bricks on their journey through the seven seas. (eap)
