(eap) Waldwelt Skywalk Allgäu in Scheidegg, near Lindau on Lake Constance, has appointed Melanie Gratwohl as its new General Manager. Gratwohl has many years of experience in the international leisure industry and aims to work with the team to further advance the development of the Bavarian nature adventure park.
Her previous career positions include the leisure and entertainment group Merlin Entertainments. There, Gratwohl gained extensive experience in the development and operation of leisure attractions for different target groups and markets, including at LEGOLAND Deutschland and LEGOLAND Malaysia. Most recently, she worked for the internationally active electronics and mechatronics supplier Diehl Controls.
According to the new General Manager, her move to Waldwelt Skywalk Allgäu was a personal decision. “When I first discovered Waldwelt Skywalk Allgäu, it was above all the concept that convinced me. It is credible and authentic, and its values align very closely with my own,” says Gratwohl. She considers the park’s inclusive approach to be one of its greatest strengths. “For us, inclusion is not a project, but part of our DNA.” Many visitors would not initially notice how naturally different needs are accommodated in the park’s day-to-day operations. It is precisely this lived inclusivity that makes Waldwelt Skywalk Allgäu such a special place, according to Gratwohl.
During the current season, the nature adventure park also intends to remain consistently focused on the needs of its guests. The further development of its food and beverage offering as well as family-friendly prices are expected to contribute to this. The aim is to make a visit even more attractive for guests while providing a high-quality offering.
Gratwohl already had a personal connection to Waldwelt Skywalk Allgäu long before joining the park professionally. “We used to visit regularly ourselves and held annual passes for many years,” she explains. “Waldwelt Skywalk Allgäu has a very special atmosphere. You arrive, immediately feel at ease and experience nature in a unique way. We want to preserve these strengths while also providing fresh impetus.” ■
