Disney Adventure World Presents “Disney Princess Cavalcade”

(eap) Starting tomorrow, the new “Disney Princess^® Cavalcade” will be presented at Disney Adventure World, the reimagined second park of Disneyland Paris. Featuring the Disney Princesses Rapunzel, Moana, Raya and Tiana, who are known for their courage and determination, the parade will take place several times a day. Specially designed floats will bring the characters’ unique worlds to life.

The route begins in front of the future themed land dedicated to the Walt Disney Animation Studios film “The Lion King” and continues to “The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge” before the cavalcade returns to its starting point. Along the way, the Disney Princesses step down from their floats to perform various choreographies: Moana’s movements are inspired by traditional Pacific Island dances, whilst Raya’s choreography incorporates elements of martial arts. Together with the Princesses’ companions, selected guests are invited to imitate the movements and become part of the performance. The new experience took one and a half years to develop and involved a total of 287 hours of rehearsals.

When designing the floats, choreographies and costumes, the creative teams drew inspiration from both the original animated films and the architecture and traditions of the countries on which the respective stories are based. The costumes, designed by the Disneyland Paris creative team, were made in France. The floats were constructed by a Nice-based company specialising in street art. Detailed recreations of Motunui (Moana), the Heart Palace (Raya), the lively, festive streets of New Orleans (Tiana) and “The Snuggly Duckling” tavern (Rapunzel) invite guests to immerse themselves in the stories of the Disney Princesses. Two songs specially produced for the parade set the rhythm.

The launch of Disney Princess Cavalcade also marks the end of the run of the “Disney Marching Band”, led by Minnie Mouse. Minnie will now wear a new Victorian-inspired outfit and occasionally appear at the “West Pavilion” for exclusive meet-and-greets and photo opportunities with guests.
