(eap) Abu Dhabi-based leisure and entertainment developer and operator Miral has announced plans to invest more than twelve billion AED (approximately 2.8 billion EUR) in Yas Island over the next five years. The investments will include, among other things, expanding the hotel capacity as well as developing new attractions and enhancing existing ones.

“This investment reflects our commitment to Abu Dhabi’s long-term vision and our ambition to continue shaping one of the world’s most dynamic tourism destinations. Yas Island has become a global success story, demonstrating how world class experiences contribute to economic growth, enhance quality of life, and strengthen Abu Dhabi’s appeal to audiences from around the world. Over the next five years, this investment will build on that momentum, introducing new experiences and expanding our hospitality and leisure offering to meet our evolving visitor expectations. Yas Island is home to a wide range of theme parks, sports offerings and live entertainment experiences. Among them are Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld, Warner Bros. World™ and SeaWorld® Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. In May 2025, the development of a Disney theme park resort on Yas Island was also announced. However, this project is to be considered separately from the investments that have now been announced.

In addition, Miral recently revealed details of new experiences coming to Warner Bros. World™. Construction of the flying coaster “Superman Up and Away” is scheduled for completion in 2028, while three new Harry Potter™ themed lands are planned to be completed in 2029.
