Netherlands: Slagharen To Launch New Roller Coaster in 2017

The Dutch Slagharen amusement park announced today the addition of the new “Gold Rush” triple launch coaster to its visitor offer in spring 2017. The new roller coaster will replace the old “Thunder Loop”, which will be teared down by the end of this season.

The new ride supplied by Gerstlauer Amusement Rides will catapult guests even three times from zero to 90 km/h – two times forwards and one time backwards. The carriages offer room for four persons in five rows. Wouter Dekkers, CEO at Slagharen, is looking forward to the new attraction: “Gold Rush is a worthy successor for Thunder Loop and it is an even faster and higher coaster, making less noise. Furthermore, the ride includes not only one but two loops: a sling and a dive loop.” (eap)
