New Children’s Area Opens at Therme Obernsees

(eap) Therme Obernsees in Mistelgau (Bavaria, Germany) has expanded its offer with a new experience area for children. Created in cooperation with toy manufacturer sigikid as sponsoring company, the new “Thermelino Water World” provides young guests with a variety of water play opportunities. The new area includes a pool with several interactive play elements, a small elephant slide, a wide slide approximately four meters long, and a tube slide measuring over ten meters. The offer is complemented by an interactive water play wall, a gold panning channel and a tipping bucket. The manufacturer of the new children’s attractions is Aquarena.

In addition to the development of the Thermelino Water World, further modernization has been carried out at Therme Obernsees (part of GMF) in recent months: Two former outdoor pools have been replaced by a new outdoor pool covering around 260 square meters and featuring bubble loungers, massage jets and neck showers. A new relaxation room has also been created to provide additional space for rest (see EAP News from 10 Feb 2025). Furthermore, the entrance area of the thermal bath is currently being enlarged and redesigned. Completion is scheduled for the end of December 2025. ■
