(eap) Last Saturday, Germany’s Jaderpark animal and leisure park, located in Jaderberg in Lower Saxony, started its 30th season. To mark this anniversary, the park is giving itself and its visitors a special gift: a new attraction for the whole family. The so-called “Torfschleuder” – a Wild Swing by ART Engineering – will expand the “Lütjes Moor” themed area alongside the Bobsled Coaster “Ziegelblitz”, which opened in 2024 (see EAP 4/2024).

In keeping with the theme, the attraction will feature a thematic reference to North German industrial culture surrounding brickworks. The Wild Swing is to be designed as a “peat crane”, while the operator building as well as technical areas and the queue line are to be staged as an employee canteen of a brickworks. The theming will largely be implemented in-house. For music and sound effects, the park is working with IMAscore, while selected design elements – such as lighting and decoration – will involve partners such as Robers Leuchten and Kinderland Parks.

The opening of the attraction is planned for summer this year. Children must be at least three years old and 90 centimeters (35 inches) tall to ride when accompanied, and at least six years old and 120 centimeters (47 inches) tall to ride unaccompanied. ■
