New Generation of Screen Surface for Compact Flying Theater Models

Endurescreens, the Budapest/Hungary-based provider of screen design, engineering and on-site screen installation services, has introduced a new screen surface generation especially applicable to attraction types such as dome theaters, flying theaters, dark rides and planetariums. Specifically, the new-generation screen panels are powder-coated with a newly developed ultra-matte finish, which in turn enables a wide range of reflectance grades depending on project requirements, according to the supplier. Thanks to this development, a hundred percent color uniformity is now achieved, as the company says, also ensuring up to 15 years of color fidelity. In addition, the new surface coating also enables even greater flexibility in projector alignment and projection angles, for example, and resistance to physical damage has also been further optimized.

The new screen surface generation is now being applied for the first time for the compact flying theater types of the “HEXaFLITE©mini” product series, offered by German manufacturer Simtec Systems, which can be implemented with a capacity for four, eight or ten passengers and an electrically or hydraulically driven 6 DOF motion system.
