(eap) At Plopsaland Deutschland, the Halloween season now also ranks among the busiest periods of the year. Building on the success of its Halloween festival in previous years, the theme park in Haßloch, Germany, has expanded the concept and planned several new additions. Until 1 November, the park is offering a family-friendly spooky programme during the day and dedicated experiences for true horror fans in the evening.

New this year is the “Plopsa Herbstfest” (Plopsa Fall Festival), which has evolved from the previous “Kids Halloween” event. For the first time, it offers daytime spooky fun for visitors of all ages on every opening day, alongside more than 60 shows and attractions. Pumpkin-themed worlds and special food and beverage offerings complement the family experience.

Every Friday and Saturday evening in October, the “Halloween Fright Nights 2026” invite horror fans from across Germany to enjoy spectacular horror experiences at the park. More than 150 performers, six haunted houses, three scare zones and five additional Fright Night shows are set to thrill visitors. In the new walk-through haunted house “NEXUS AI”, guests experience first-hand what can happen when artificial intelligence is taking over and spirals out of control. Another new addition is “Lost: Deep in the Woods”, where a remote stretch of woodland becomes the setting for a chilling story.

Bernd Beitz, Director Germany of the Plopsa Group, explains: “Halloween is one of the special highlights of our season. The ‘Halloween Fright Nights’ are among the busiest days of the entire year and demonstrate just how enthusiastic our guests are about Halloween. With the new ‘Plopsa Herbstfest’, we are therefore specifically expanding our offering for families. At the same time, we are further strengthening the distinct identity of the ‘Halloween Fright Nights’ as a first-class horror and entertainment event.” ■
