(eap) From 20 March 2026, visitors to the digital art center Phoenix des Lumières in Dortmund, Germany will be able to experience the new show “Prehistoric Planet – Discovering Dinosaurs”. The production was created in collaboration with Apple TV, the BBC and the London-based studio Lightroom and features imagery from the Apple TV series “Prehistoric Planet”. It has already been running at the Culturespaces venue Port des Lumières in Hamburg since December 2025 (see EAP News of 28 Nov 2025). Now audiences in Dortmund will also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of prehistoric giants.
“I am very pleased that we can present the new show ‘Prehistoric Planet’ in Dortmund. The production is something very special because, through the TV series, it combines scientific insights with state-of-the-art staging and places visitors right in the middle of the world of dinosaurs. You do not only experience prehistory from a distance, but feel as if you yourself were part of a high-quality documentary,” explains Andreas Richter, Director of Phoenix des Lumières.
The immersive exhibition will be shown daily starting at noon and complements the venue’s existing program around “Monet – Founder of Impressionism” and “The Little Prince – An Immersive Adventure”. ■
