New Major Construction Project at Tripsdrill Takes Shape
(eap) Since the groundbreaking ceremony six months ago, significant progress has been made on the major construction site at Tripsdrill. Approximately 2,100 cubic meters of concrete and 312 tons of reinforcing steel have been processed during the construction phase so far. The works for the 12,000-square-meter leisure area are proceeding according to schedule. Directly in front of the entrance to the Wildparadies (wildlife park), a year-round themed restaurant, open to everyone, is being built in the style of a historic farmhouse. The new facility will feature a spacious outdoor terrace, modern conference rooms, a bar, a traditional village shop, and a wine bar. In addition, a new reception building for overnight guests of the Natur Resort is under construction, including a high-quality wellness area with sauna and swimming pool, an indoor play area, and an outdoor water playground. Both buildings – the restaurant and the reception – will be connected via an underground tunnel.

The construction progress is already visible: while the second basement level of the reception building will house the technical systems for the swimming pool and sauna, the first level will contain the future indoor pool area with sauna facilities and changing rooms. Technical installations such as massage jets and lighting fixtures have already been fitted into the pool itself. Construction work on the ground floor, which will accommodate the future reception area, is scheduled to begin in mid-October. The 4.5-ton outdoor pool basin for the swimming area has already been delivered. Around the themed restaurant building, a total of 300 seats will be available both indoors and outdoors. With the entire basement, including the ceiling, already completed in shell construction, the next step will be the construction of the ground floor, which will later house the restaurant and kitchen areas.
The aim of the large-scale project is to further expand the offer for park visitors, overnight guests, and external visitors alike. If everything continues to proceed as planned, the opening is expected to take place in spring 2027. ■
